Certificate of Incorporation

  • Once registration requirements and fee are received, the Registrar issues a Certificate of Incorporation.
  • It confirms:
    • Unique company registration number.
    • Date the company came into existence.
  • If a company changes its name, the notes state Companies House must be informed within 14 days.
  • A private limited company can begin business once incorporated.
  • A PLC must wait for a further Trading Certificate confirming the required share capital.
