13. Production of a Vocational Licence and DQC

  • A driver may be required to produce the driving licence to police or an authorised traffic examiner.
  • Police and DVSA enforcement officers can stop goods vehicles.
  • They can check that the driver has the correct licence categories.
  • They can check that the driver has a valid Driver Qualification Card where required.
  • If a driver cannot produce the licence when requested by police, the material states it must be produced in person within 7 days, or as soon as practicable, at a police station of the driver's choice.
  • If requested by a Traffic Area Office, the material states the licence must be produced within 10 days, or as soon as practicable.
