5. CARNETS

  • Carnets are international Customs documents that simplify customs procedures.
  • They act as a guarantee to Customs that any duty liability will be met.
  • A carnet does not give a haulier the right to operate in another country.
  • Carnets avoid the need to place deposits or bonds at every border crossing.
